Looking back at the SPecs when i ordered my car ,they are as follows MPG urban 60.1 Extra urban 83.1 combined 74.3 250 nm torque 0 -- 62 in 11.4 secs 105 PS , that is the basis on which i bought my car( now I know i will not get that MPG ,but to Pass EU directive 99/94 they must) now I expect that after the FIX, Skoda /VW will retest the cars and prove the same specs, and publish the data before they fix mine, if they cannot match or better the specs then i have been missold and will sue
-
Then why didn't they do it in the first place?
we all know the answer to this ----MONEY----
Of course the fix may improve cars....
well we can hope so
It seems a bit more than HOnest John says , not EGR anD DPF , injectors seem like a lot more to me
also I got the extra clean Greenline , i think they owe me more than an explanation and a fix!
-
before anyone puts a spanner on my car, i want to know what effect it will have on BHP / torque and mpg so i can compare with quoted figures when I bought the car if new figs are lower, then we can talk compensation before they touch my car not after, otherwise forget it there not doing any fix to my car!

It seems the vin checker is not upto date, says no recall on 2012 octy greenline 2 does anyone at VAG no whats going on or what to do about it
-
it would appear theI VIN checker is useless put in the VIN of my Octy 2012 1.6 tdi Greenline , and it says no recall, what bull**** we all know its got the EA189 engine , I think no one at VAG group has a clue as to what to do
If after recall work I lose any engine perforance or Mpg I will sue

3.00 is the fail pre July 2008, 1.50 after that.
just got my mine back from MOT 0.03 with 19K on clock (2012 Octy greenline) garge tried to sell me extra engine flush treatment for £30, remember no cleaning additives in supermarket fuel!
as others have said use one of the additives get it hot take it in for mot, and use good fuel

Also a Freesat box can be programmed to watch the freesat from sky channels giving you the best of both

Taken from Octavia Brochure Aug 2012
Hatch 585 litres seats up or 1455 litres seats down
Estate 605 litres seats up or 1655 litres seats down
I did not think an Extra £1300 for the estate was worth while for the extra 20 litres of storage space, and the seats down figures make no sense at all
but in the price range the octy has biggest boot for price bigger than many larger more expenive cars
its great not worrying if i can get all the cases or shopping in the boot

I seem to have a rattle from the passenger seat belt when its not being used just the buckle rattling against the hard plastic on the pillar, I'm trying to figure out whats the best soft material to fit to the pillar to stop rattle .

Moggy my 1 st car Grey 1000cc 1962 4 door , passed my test init , No road tax these days , and vvvvvv cool

I understand that Morrisons fuel both Petrol and Diesel contain higher levels of Bio fuel than other brands , used in my last car Focus 1.6 Diesel and motorcycle both gave poorer performance and fuel economy than using Esso from a mile away costing 1p per litre more
I'll stick to the esso 1p per will not break the bank

HI i find with my octy greenline 2 it all works very well, stop at lights into neutral foot of clutch it stops, lights change foot on clutch and as my foot hits floor engine is running 1st and gone, seem to move off seem speed as car ahead no holding up cars behind.
if you think lights are about to change as you pull up just keep your foot on the clutch and it will not stop , or of course if you want press button to switch system off.
better battery starter etc
you dont use Stop start as much as you think you will, so I think battery /starter life maybe longer
you get used to it very quickly, you soon learn when and when not to lift your foot off the clutch

I read that he asked bentley to paint it like this and they refused, so he had to go else where

Just walked into my local chipshop tonite, Bustop outside , the type with the big yellow box ,and I watch as a toyota landy pulls up in the middle of the bustop facing the wrong way, and an old man gets out with walking stick and plonks a blue badge on the dash, then he walks in to join the que in the chipshop which is about 10 , 15 mins , 2 mins later a Police Car drives slowly past and does nothing
is it me or do old people think the rules do not apply to them because of age?

Also, you can turn on something called "second speedometer" which enables a little mph readout in the maxidot, above the outside temp. I guess UK cars show km/h if you enable it.
Spot on you can set it to MPH or KPH

Belkin dear god no, also that one is for a DSL line not a Cable modem line
Yep sorry cable modem needed, but speak as i find this belkin is a lot more stable than any other I've had, months go bye without problems , the previous Netgear Dg834 crashed almost everyday and wifi would not work
mind you I did have an older belkin about 3 years ago and that was pants
also 0800 belkin customer care not premium rate
-
Go for a better quality one with 2.4Ghz and 5 Ghz much less crowded @5Ghz very rarely drops out
http://www.amazon.co...c_df_B005626U9W Belkin N600

I think we will see lots of External SSD's in the future as prices fall , I've got 1 Esata and 4 USB3 , Using Usb3 with WD my passport 2TB, very quick compared to usb2
you got to make sure when you buy these external drives that they are USB3 I think many of the cheaper ones are usb2 only
USB2 480 Mbits/s USB3 5GBits/s esata upto 6 GBits/s
