  1. Good morning all, I was wondering if someone can point me in the right direction, i own a 2019 Octavia VRS with tow bar prep. i'm looking at fitting a tow bar myself, just for towing small trailers/bike rack, but here lies my problem. There seem to be an endless amount of options when buying one, what wiring adapters would i need to go with the tow bar prep ? what makes and models do people recommend ? Any help would be greatly appreciated Chris
  2. Yep I had a 18 TDi vrs last year and I was getting flashed alot, so the way I did it was park my car against a wall and mark out where my original beam is, so you can put it back to that after your trip then, use the screws on each light to lower the beam, if you've got acsess to a headlight beam viewer(garages, mot test centre, local skoda garage) it's even better, this will would help make sure you set them to a flatbeam. But on the downside your lights are going to be crap at night as the kick is pretty big. But you won't get flashed and you can always set them back when you get back home.
  3. Yeah I had that, the instructions are not very good with where to place them, I never personally got the ones from skoda as I just deceided to manually lower the beam using the adjusting screw on top of the light. This worked best for me
  4. They dont change enough they only adjust a little the only way I didn't get flashed was with the stickers you can buy, I'm sure I read somewhere on this forum that skoda also do a sticker set that's supposed to be pretty good
  5. Nice I wish I'd specc'd the bigger screen, interested in the sound proofing
  6. Hmm I was literally going to ask a similar question, just about to get my new 245 replacing my current TDi, I don't need to diesel anymore as I won't be doing so many miles anymore. Out of interest the people who have gown for stage one on there petrol vrs' what else did you have to do? And if you have dsg (this is my first dsg) do you need to get that mapped aswell?
  7. Looks pretty sweet I wish I'd waited a little to order my 245, really wanted the alcantara seats and xtreme wheels which I couldnt spec at the time of build in early January
  8. The dealers aren't any better I'm trying to sell my 18 plate vrs in april/may this year, with about 19/20k miles on the clock, the highest I've been offered is 14,750
  9. Thank you! MY19 aswell? Found these https://m.de.aliexpress.com/item/32957443860.html?pid=808_0003_0109&spm=a2g0n.search-amp.list.32957443860&aff_trace_key=8ab14aeb3bec4bd9b086ca59b31de539-1550778203966-05122-UneMJZVf&aff_platform=msite&m_page_id=9959amp-a4XpZEiaEaoyXv1L35V8ew1550778234823
  10. So I've been having a look around, you don't happen to know what other vag the octi gets it's dsg paddles from if I was to say change them for extended ones that fully replace the plastic paddles
  11. Jesus I've not personally looked at obdelevern but this all looks super complicated lol
  12. Loving the screen and the lengths you gone to to get this done, can't wait to get my new vrs In april/may with vc. I se you have some paddle extensions, are they the stick ons or have you replaced them?
  13. Pretty sure I've seen one on YouTube as I looked Into this a few weeks ago
  14. What it's like when it's fully loaded? As in do the wheel rub in the rear archs?
  15. Soo looking at a new octi petrol vrs estate, could anyone tell me what the tow bar prep actually is ? And does the heated steering wheel get rid of the flat bottom vrs steering wheel ?
