  1. Need this stuff gone to fund another car project...open to offers?
  2. Bump! Price drop... Suspension £100 collected Dtuk box £180 posted Spoiler £50 postage at buyers expense
  3. Hello, I recently sold my 2011 '61' plate Octavia 2 facelift Vrs 2.0tdi cr 170. Here is a few bits i have left over i'd like to sell on, hopefully someone can make use of them. Firstly we have the full vrs suspension setup. Taken from the car at only 25,000 it was still in tip top condition upon removal. Taken off to put coilovers on. It's been sitting in the shed since removal and it wasn't me who done the removal...so i HOPE nothing was damaged in doing so. That said it appears one still has a top mount and the other doesnt. So basically i'm saying i cannot guarantee the condition but on visual inspection it ass looks fresh and good and upon removal was perfect. Beleive these are a good upgrade from a standard setup being stiffer and 15mm lower. Or good for someone who's suspension is a bit tired. Due to weight i'd prefer collection. That said i'm sure i could accomadate you arranging your own courier. Price reflects unknown aspects..£120 full setup. Next up is a DTUK tuning box. It's the more expensive option available and is reasonably new. I can't remember exactly when I purchased this but it was the tail end of last year. I beleive there is a manufacture date on the cables...(pictured, 14.08.2013) so unlikely to even be a year old yet. Upon removal there was a slight mishap and one of the plugs got ripped off. This isn't a massive problem though as a new loom is available for £40 (i beleive) readily enough from the manufacturer. This came from an extremely well kept vehicle, that was always serviced on time and as the attatched pictures show kept in very clean condition. Put on at roughly 35,000 and the car was sold at 45,000 it hasn't done many miles. I beleive i payed £400 for this. Taking into account the need for a new loom i feel £200 is a fair price. Postage included or collection if prefered. Last up is the superskoda spoiler add on lip. Not the diffuser style. Bought from a fellow member on her at the beginning of the year it's painnted gloss black. Given my car was gloss black it never looked quite right. Always meant to get it wrapped carbon and fitted but never got round to it. just want what i paid. £60 collected. Can post at buyers expense. Sorry about poor pics, this is quite hard to photograph (and im rubbish at taking pics) Any questions just ask offers welcome Here's the car they came from (or in the spoilers case never made it to) The two engine pics were taken the night before i traded her in. Super clean with 45k on the clock. The other is a bit older but only a couple months or so.
  4. Sorry forgot to respond...the boot badge is just a new style boot badge from a new Octavia. All others are just originals
  5. It's Linwood Arnold Clark I got mines from, like I said no Arnold Clark is great but my cars been in a few times for warranty work and had no issues. If I was paying then there's no way I'd go there though.
  6. can't you take it to skoda Arnold Clark? I grudge taking my car there but in fairness not had any issues yet
  7. Haha tbh the car was in desperate need of it. I was ashamed of how much crud the clay bar lifted! The weather up here has been horrendous for as long as i can remember and will likely be terrible for a good wee while more so was largely about getting some protection on there...plus i wanted a shot of my polisher the gf got me for xmas
  8. Gave the vrs a full exterior detail yesterday and WOW did it need it! Don't any before shots...or during shots..or good after shots....infact the only pics i actually have were taken after i'd finished and had to pop round the block in pouring rain to collect something for my friend. I know, i know...schoolboy error but here they are so you can get the idea. Method was... - rinse - prewash applied and left to work its magic (angelwax snowfoam used in pressure sprayer) - rinse - wash (angelwax soap) - rinse - full clay bar and dryed as i finished panel by panel (angelwax medium clay and QED) - final buff down to ensure complete dryness - inspection of the paint which showed it was in decent condition, almost swirl free infact! Given this i went for farecla finishing polish on a medium head and final buff down with a finishing head. - D.A. polish (farecla finishing product used) - Ipa panels and continue to work until (nearly) defect free - Final wipedown all over with ipa - Final buff down - Coat of sealant (fk1000p for paintwork and angelwax h2go for glass and lights - Removal of sealant and final FINAL buff down - Meguiars tyre gel applied (wheels were recently sealed when coated so didn't need reapplied) - Clean up on exhaust tip (wirewool and metal polish) So here is the (terrible) pictures. You can at least see a bit of the reflection in one or two! ^God i'm a terrible photograper  And last but not least...all my kit ready to get packed back up after a long days work! Thanks for reading
  9. I've looked at splitters a few times but I'm undecided on wether they suit the fl VRS. sometimes I think they look nice then other times I think they ruin the RSVP bumper
  10. Sorry its quite difficult to articulate.. I got 2 backing plates with the machine and velcro pads which attach to these backing plates. I then bought some different grade u-pol pads to add to my collection however the u-pol pads have a 14mm female thread i.e. the machine they go on should have a 14mm male thread. My machine doesn't have a 14mm male thread though it has a female thread, the backing plates have the male thread which (dont know exact size) is smaller than 14mm. So can i get some kind of adaptor to make the u-pol female 14mm fit my machines female connection? I hope this is a better explanation haha!
  11. the da is called "king barney" just cheap beginner thing really, but does the job. The pads are u-pol. I have 2 size backing plates and plenty other velcro pads the now anyway just wondered if there was someway to use the new ones I got?
  12. Got myself a da cor Xmas off my lovely gf. Got plenty of kit for using it but my question is this...I got a couple different heads from my local bookshop supplier however these are female fitment and so is the da machine, is there an adaptor I can get for this?
  13. Well 18s come standard on a VRS so look at your standard wheels and decide if you feel they're too small or not?
  14. May pay a visit to ecotune i've been reading alot of good things about them. Are you going to cut some holes in the new location on the door and put in some grills? I should pop by the shop some day for a closer look at the car because its a cracker!
  15. wow 7100? Thats bizarre. Has to be a scam, though surely there cant be someone out there who would think thats a real price on such a car and be silly enough to pay a deposit on it...or is there? Scary thought
