hello can anyone help please i have a 5 month old ovtavia with a columbus infotainment system , suddenly the man in the sat nav has stopped talking to me ive gone through the menus but cannot fix it although i thought i had mastered it but it gave an initial instruction then went quit again really frustrating - what can it be kind regards

thanks big john will give it a go looking on tube there videos showing same symptoms pointing to wheel bearing !!

hello xman thanks for the interest noise stays constant around corners - just had another look all seems ok bu noticed because it has always been low at the front i do tend to catch the front plastic panel next to the front wheel when parking front on to the kerb which is hanging down wondering if it was just wind noise !!! if it was bearing or dif wouldnt the noise be costant at all speeds !! thanks again

hello need your suggestions please 1.2 octavia is driving perfectly as usual but i get upto 40 - 50 mph and i get a constant noise from somewhere at the front of the car noise stays with foot on or off the clucth engine on or off i get nothing through the steering wheel seems ok brakes are ok wheels and tyres seem ok the noise isnt getting any worse im just puzzeled at what it can be !! any ideas please

hello mic thanks for your reply its been going on for a couple of weeks before the bad weather - i first took it to my local garage who could not tell weather it was the abs or the tcs so they advised me to go to scoda for a proper analasis they are saying they cannot tell the real fault until the eps unit is replaced so its a case of paying a £1000 plus to find out that there might be something else !! such a nice car looks like it might be bye bye regards

hello can anyone help please i am in deep shock i have a 58 1.8 tsi octavia with the abs and tcs warning lights coming on and staying on , i have just returned from skoda with a quote to replace the esp unit (before they can ascertain whats actually wrong) for £1200 this has been a great car but i could not warrant spending that much on it !!

hello ken thanks for the replie its been back to the garage hoses are fine - confident theres no air lock would hooking it up to a computer find the fault !!

hello apologies if this has been dealt with before i recently had a bad water leak which required a new water pump and hoses with labour it cost £750 !! i now find the heater isnt working blowing but no heat i phoned scoda for some advice they said it is proberbly a air lock and to run it for 30 mins with filler cap off i have tried this with no luck has anyone got any ideas before i take it in again !! best regards

hello please forgive me im new to the forum so im a little green regards these meets as i live in castle bromwich which is only a couple of miles from stonebridge i was thinking of having a look and was wondering what do you do at these meets do you stand in the car park admiring each others cars - have a meal - have a drink - have a drive !!! one reason i can think of for meeting in car parks has got something to do with dogs but im sure thats not it !! regards steve

hello according to the web site www.howmanyleft.co.uk there are only 106 of my octavia 1.8 tsi l&k on the road is that right !! on the one hand i feel a cut above the rest on the other im thinking parts (as in sorry we cant get them mate) regards
