hello can someone help. ive had 2 quotes for tow bars both swan neck. first one 300 fitted never mentioned electrics!!!!! second one 300 also then after a talk 400 for full dedicated electrics as he said my car has stability control???? Etc etc.so the car will know it's towing a caravan. im swaying to the 400 one but am I wasting my money????? Any help would be great cheers firthy

I've been over thinking it tbh. ive only recently bought the octavia,but tday my mate offered me a vw Tiguan tdi at a unbelievable price and I've been worrying about my car to caravan for a couple of wks now. but it looks like the octavia is more than capable of performing for our holidays. many thanks again. and I must say your rig looks a lot of fun,but theirs no way I would or could tow that lol cant be live how little your car looks. as I am a total novice at caravaning I'll be taking it slow and carful. thanks again Paul

It's well got me confused, as on one caravan website it said don't exceed 85% outfit match. so just so I know for peace of mind do I deduct 1325 from 1980 to find my % match sorry for the questions but I've been searching since 5 o'clock teatime and still none the wiser many thanks paul

I've had alook and it's as follows 1980 3380 1-1100 2-1100 all kg so my caravans max weight is 1325 so am I in or out of the regs????? Many thanks paul

Hi keep looking for info on my car mk2 Vrs tdi cr estate and I pre bought a caravan with a mptlw of 1325 so am I ok with it on my car???? It's got a bit confusing tbh,I did a search on tow car .co.uk and says its 79% weight to car any help would be great also on the log book it says max 1400kg braked????

I don't think I'm up for the electrics side tbh. id Beable to fit the tow bar but not a clue with electrics, mmmmmm back to hunting a towbar fitting company lol

I did buy it pal what scratch its long gone bit of elbow grease and it's gone, ,back tyres have a bit left yet and cambelt needs doing in 4000 miles it drives mint and the service record is second to none,plus I knocked a couple hundred of the car so I'm more than happy with it cheers firthy
