I've been in contact with Skoda via email. They now know about the problem, and I also gave them the link to this forum. So if you have anything to add hopefully they will see it here.

I'm thinking it could be something to do with the latest version of Android. I use a Google pixel phone and it has the latest software on it. Maybe Skoda needs to do an update so it's fully compatible. Anyway I will try and update if I get anything info back from Skoda.

I've got the same problem with my MK4 superb. I drove recently from the UK to the Netherlands and it happened all the time there and back. I sent a message today to Skoda so waiting for a reply.

Booked in now to get it done at the end of the month. I've been quoted £400 for parts and labor. That includes water pump.

Hello to everyone here. Does anyone know when the timing belts need changing on a Octavia 2011 1.6 mpi. I've been poking around on the tinter-net to find out to any info but to no success. So if there are any great minds out there with the knowledge please share. I think I might be running on borrowed time. Thanks for any help. Mike
