  1. Thanks for all the advice,it's food for thought! My problem is,I've never modded a car before (admittedly,I've never had one worth modding!) and I'm not sure where to start, especially as the outside really doesn't need anything extra to look good!

Also,I'm planning on upgrading to a much newer vRS within the next two years so don't want to do anything that'll make it less appealing to vRS buyers!

  2. Sorry, multiple answers needed in one topic please!

Has anyone had these mods done? A rough cost would be appreciated, as well as a recommendation of which bulbs to upgrade to! The only cost I have so far is for powder coating the wheels, which came in at £55 per rim inc vat,is that good or bad?!

Also, what hp boost do you get with a remap?

Clueless non techy person here,so please keep answers in plain English ;) Thank you!

  3. Haha, thanks guys (and gal!). I loved the mk1 I viewed straight away so have bought it. For the price I don't think it'd be worth spending more for the mk2 purely on the physical.

If I could figure out how to post pics I'd show you...(Josh?!)

    Thanks for the advice :-D

  4. Hi everyone! I'm new here, and have come in need of some opinions!

I've got the option of either buying a 55 plate mk1 Octy vRS with decent mileage (60k) or spending an extra £800ish on an 06 mk2 with higher miles.

Other than the obvious differences between them, are they massively different cars? I'm leaning toward the mk1 purely because its cheaper, closer and less mile-high...but the mk2 looks nicer inside and out! Does the extra 200cc make much difference in the speed? What would you do?

    Help please!
