Hi there
I don't know much about cars and upgrades, but I've had my Fabia VRS for a few years now and all I've had done is a stage one remap. I'm now looking at making some more modifications to it but i really don't know where to start. Ideally i want to walk into a garage and just say what can you do to it, how much and when will it be done by. But i have no idea what garage to take it to and if they would be able to do that.
So what I'm looking for ideally off here is people to link me parts to buy of which i can then take to a garage to get fitted.
Im looking for:
New Exhaust System
Suspension - Coil-overs
Brakes
Any ways to improve the engine horse power
I have the money i just need to ideas!
Cheers people! Hope you get back to me!

As with most things in life you get what you pay for so generally the more you spend the better quality kit you'll get in terms of materials used, the build and some times even the ride.

So we saying http://www.dpmperformance.co.uk/car-parts/skoda/fabia/ap-coilover-suspension-kitfabia-6y-12-14-14tdi-19sdi-19tdi-vrs-19tdi-20-0300 are decent?

Well I'm not too sure in the difference in price from say £200/400/600/800 not sure what's worth spending on

I'm looking at getting my fabia vrs 2007 lowered what coil overs should I be looking at? I don't want to pay silly money but I also don't want a terrible set. Thanks
-
springs - 25/30mm drop max on standard dampers or get a sport suspension kit AP,Vogtland... which can lower again 25-40mm (depending)
Coilovers - if you want to go low low
depends how low you want to go?
http://www.demon-tweeks.co.uk/performance/suspension-kits/car/skoda/fabia-00-07-vrs/ap-suspension-sports-suspension-kits-lowers-front-25mm-lowers-rear-25mm these bout do the job then?

40mm is probably enough.. i dont even no what 40mm looks like but sounds a lot

Looking at getting my VRS lowered, never had a car lowered before so.. if using springs whats advised? and if coilovers whats advised? Thanks

You need to look at completed listings. There's a whole world of difference between advertising a set of wheels for £240 and actually selling them for that.
As far as the tyres go I think a lot depends on what the tyres are, not just how much tread is left on them. Nearly new Continentals/Gooodyears/Michelins will add a lot to the price you can expect, but if they're a set of Hong Kong Phooey Ditch Finder Specials then they're not really worth anything - I'd rather buy buy just a set of wheels than a set of wheels with crap tyres.
yeah that makes sence 3 are pireli's
-
yeah i saw those ebay ones and have u seen the state of them?! mine are nothing like that tbh. sme blokes got 1 wheel up still in worse condition than mine for 110£. that seems unrealistic tho..
-
yeah i have tyres and there basically new. 80 for all 4??
-
Hi im just wondering what people think a set of 4 original skoda fabia alloy wheels would be worth that are in pretty good condition, no curb marks, but some stains ect. If you had a mint vrs you would want them refurbed but it isnt neccessery..
Cheers guys. (oh and theyd have pretty new tyres on 2)
(For you MODs, im not selling these im just looking what price people think theyd be worth)
-
there not standard cause the inside of cap shows for 15's and 16's not 17'sIf they're the standard size it should give you the pressures on a lable inside the fuel filler flap
-
i have 205/40/17 tyres on a fabia vrs, whats the correct pressure they should be at?

Go with ap or wietec for a good mid range. I have heard they do not do the kw v1 basics any more just the ones you have found. The kw basics have been replaced by weitec hicon gt as they are made by the same company.
the weitec are same prie as KW V1. AP come up abit cheaper. If your not going to need to ajust the ride height after whats the advantage of coilovers instead of the lowering springs which work out alot cheaper?
-
I'm pretty much in the same boat as you; however I can't really proceed with any mods until at least August (age and insurance costs being the main reason :( )
Having been lurking around here though for the last few months taking in advice from others, I'm pretty ademant that I'm going down the Coilover route as opposed to lowering springs (adjustability and ride being the main 'pro's' I seem to have gained) and have also picked up on the thought of 'you get what you pay for'!
That said, i'll probably be looking at getting some KW V1's come August
Regarding fitting though, where abouts are you in Leicestershire? I'm near Market Harborough, and i've already decided that i'll be making the journey over to Ali at Unit 18 (Milton Keynes) mainly due to him being so highly recommended by other users on here!

-
I was the same but insurance has calmed down abit this year :D, yeah i've seemed to pick up that too, everyone has coilovers. Could you link me to these KW V1's please because again this seems to be what everyone goes for??
What the garage called? Im loughborough

http://www.awesomegti.com/car/skoda/fabia1/fk-coilover-sport-edition-plus-fit-for-skoda-fabia-6y-year-01-2000 is that a decent set?Depends how low you wanna go. . Buy some decent coilovers and get someone reputable to fit them?. . Probs the best option coz you can adjust them to suit you then too. .
While your at it you might aswell get new top mounts and bearings too coz the old ones will have to come out anyway to fit new sus.

It is a seat leon cupra splitter. You can pick one up from a dealers, tps or ebay. I havnt fitted one myself but they need trimming abit on the lengths and the three vertical parts in the middle.

Recent pics of your fabia for no reason, just stick em up!
