  1. Would this be a straight bolt on to a 1.8T mk1 vrs octavia or would it require fabrication?
  2. Would it fit the octavia or completely different?
  3. interested in: >brakes >coilpacks >doors >Bonnet and yes my cars bodywork is ruined before asking haha
  4. does anyone know if these fit our mk1 vrs octavias? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/FORGE-FMKC005-SILICONE-COOLANT-HOSES-1-8T-GOLF-LEON-/260828555580?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item3cba97e93c thanks in advance
  5. Update: Took car to my local garage with a more sophisticated fault reader which found the code:17608(Boost Pressure Control Valve) N249 when revving the engine upto boost range. I have purchased a second hand N249 hoping this will fix the problem but have not fitted yet. is there any point in purchasing any of the following to preemptively avoid pipes splitting whilst im replacing this valve? - SILCONE CRANKCASE BREATHER HOSEhttp://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/SKODA-OCTAVIA-VRS-1-8T-20V-180-BHP-SILCONE-CRANKCASE-BREATHER-HOSE-AUM-AUQ-/160808939469?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item2570f5afcd -2 PIECE KIT SILICONE N75 BOOST HOSE KIThttp://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/150792939762?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649 -LOWER BREATHER PIPEhttp://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/160983906324?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649 thanks
  6. Did not think of this thanks, I have replaced the filter with the standard air box and standard paper air filter. the previous owner supposedly had it remapped to 225 BHP but have had no dyno readings or receipt from tuning company to support this so find it hard to believe. could be possible that the remap (if any) is causing boost issues perhaps.
  7. trying to find a DIY mechanic to come on a ride with me to see if they can diagnose a problem im having with my 2005 octavia vrs mk1, I can only explain it as when accelerating hard and surpassing roughly 3,000rpm the car stutters and smooth power delivery is stopped, the ECU lights up with the engine light flashing for roughly 10 seconds. It just generally feels like a lack of acceleration power through rev ranges above 3,000rpm. I have already posted about this topic here http://www.briskoda.net/forums/topic/293574-engine-splutter-and-ecu-light-flashing/ but was hoping someone local with DIY experience with 1.8T's could take a ride with me and give their thoughts thanks, Ben
  8. Visited Skoda on Thursday but when they plugged their machine my coil packs are not in the recall apparently so no new shiny coil packs :( problem still occurring :/ should I just replace the coil packs anyway?
  9. cleaned the MAF sensor and put a standard airbox on with new air filter however problem still occurs, getting coils on thurs so will progress then
