gear knob

Featured Replies

Hi, my 6 speed gearknob is really worn out, the leather part is fine its just the chrome inset with the numbers on it(looks like the previous owner must of worn a ring on his finger and kept his hand on the gearknob, thus wearing the chrome finish off rapidly) i didnt realise but the chrome inset prizes off, so is it possible to buy a new inset without buying a whole new gearknob? if so any ideas where?

thanks.

Hi there

sounds like its a pretty common problem then, mine went the same (kind of lost its colour)

Yes, you can buy just the inset thankfully

I went to the main Skoda dealer and bought a replacement for about £6

5 mins job to fit and its as good as new again

Numerous threads about this on here if you want to do a search

Cheers

Damian
