Hi all - potential future Fabia owner here

Featured Replies

Hi everyone!!!

We are considering getting a Fabia Estate in the near future, and so far this forum has proved useful as a resource for information, so a big thank you to you all!!!

For those interested, it will most likely be a Fabia 3 1.9TDI, and the alternative we have been considering up until now was a Nissan Qashqai. I know it's a totally different car, and a tad more expensive (about £3000 for what we want), but they both would fulfill our needs nicely (young couple, big dog, love for the outdoors, no kids).

Based on looks, the Qashqai wins in our book. But when it comes to price, the Fabia wins hands down (specially given the 0% finance currently available). The fact that the Fabia is also good old solid German engineering helps too! :). Qashqai uses Renault engines (diesels at least), and, any French readers I apologize, but I don't trust French cars. If I wanted a good wine or a nice steak, sure, but a car... not convinced :P

One question to you all. Where can I find (if anywhere) an electronic version of the manual for the Fabia? I would quite like to have a read through it before comitting.

Cheers

Fabia is easier to pronounce

And I don't trust anything French... damned surrender-monkeys!

Hello and welcome to Briskoda.

welcome to briskoda forums.

I always pronounce it 'cash cow'.

Fabia much better. Welcome :)

welcome to briskoda, have you also considered a roomster which is a bigger fabia.

Cheers

Yeah, I did, but it didn't get approval from 50% of us, i.e., from the other half. Apparently it looks like a van... :P

Honestly, I couldn't care less what they call it. After all, I'm not at all convinced that calling a car "Superb" is all that great either :)

Tell her that yes she does in fact look fat in those jeans... that should keep her preoccupied!
