Got a free aircon regas off kwik fit!

Featured Replies

Took my recently bought vrs to have the aircon regassed as it was non existant, took a gamble with kwik fit but turned out rather well saving me £45 After an hours wait the guy came out and said it had 225g of gas in when it should be 700 odd, and no oil! But he said the temperature only went down 1C so theres no charge! he said it was odd as the compressor and fan kicks in (the main cooling fan is faulty but a new one is to be fitted next week) but still no cooling alhtough he said it worked better on 3 bars speed setting.

Slighly miffed i drove off played about with the climate and hey presto it works great now and seemed to get better the more I drove, i think ill leave it on permanently.

did have a intermittant v71 flap fault when last scanned but the recerc works fine and garage said harldly worth the expense to fix, i think a brand new motor was nearly £70

makes a change **** fit doing somthing for nothing

An automotive a/c system will not usually chill below 5c inside or 15c below ambient temp.

Wonder how much oil they put back in, had a kwik fit customer in last week with a hydraulic locked compressor due to over oiling.
