pioneer deh-p88rs for fabia vrs

Featured Replies

Hi all, i'm considering changing my standard head unit for a Pioneer DEH-P88RS (£350 inc fitting). Does anybody know if this will make a significant improvement without changing anything else, bearing in mind i think the standard setup in the fabia vrs is pretty poor? Cheers :)

It will only do such so much before you need to upgrade and amp the front speakers.

If you are looking a cheap and compact system, I have an infinity Basslink II providing bass from the boot, its all self contained with an inbuilt 4 channel amp, which will put out 2x 70wrms at 2 0hms which I am going to use to amp some 2 0hm JBL speakers in the front

dont need to upgrade the backs

cheers

Thanks Joel, i thought the speakers would need doing. I'm thinking of getting the reference series speaker system (TS-C171PRS) to match the HU, they're about £350. An amp isn't essential is it? Or sub? Currently the HU and speakers would set me back £700, not including fitting, i'd like to think these two components would be adequate.
