1.9 PD 130 Manual 50 - 70 MPH?

Featured Replies

My Superb is in at the dealers again to have some waranty work done on it. I have a Subaru Impreza 2.0 RX as a courtesy car. Good quality car, but completely gutless compared to the Superb - particuarly bad in gear acceleration. Does anyone know the in gear 50 - 70 MPH for the 1.9 PD 130 manual?

No, but its ability to shift in 4th gear over this speed range with a 1.5 tonne trailer on the back still surprises me.

The PD diesels let you have it both ways, drive it gently and it's as economical as a Fiesta or you can have really useful performance (as opposed to boy-racer full revs) whenever you need it.

I bought my Superb as being the cheapest way to get a good specimen of an AWX engine in a car heavy enough to tow. It does that very well.

rotodiesel.

It's too quick that I can't get a sip of coffee between gear changes :P
