Just joined the Octavia club - with a few troubles...

I have been waiting for my Octavia for a few months to be sorted - needed a few things to tidy it up, roof re-spray (a few scratches), water leak (turned out to be head gasket, and water pump), however I beared with it as the garage I bought it from have been very good to me in the past and I have never been disappointed (bought 3 cars from them in the past). Spec is a 1.6 SR Ambiente, with a nice set of alloys and RS spoiler, 53K, 12months warranty, tax, & MOT.

I have had a few niggles - over the past day since I picked it up, engine management light twice, misfire, and a problem with the rear nearside window. The first engine light turned out to be the air pipes which go into the engine block - a seal had gone causing it to run too lean. The window was sorted, turned out to be the wiring loom. The engine light is on again now (after bringing it back from the garage this evening) which is very frustrating as I have been at the garage quite a bit of the weekend already! I don't know what it is though the engine is running fine and the car runs nicely.

I have been very patient, though I am beginning to think about asking for my old Felicia back!
