They're only trade in values not private sale values (its on Vauxhalls site)

ask for whatever you want.. after all the market will only pay what it wants.

I would have thought the values are fair given the spec / colour.

Assuming it's a manual hatch, AutoTrader reckon £5,700. You can always see if anyone on here wants it if you join Freedom!

Its a similar age to mine which I traded in recently, but higher miles.

I got £7,000 - £7,400 trade in value (depending on whether you put the haggling over cost to change as a higher trade in value or a lower price on the car I bought).

The car is up at £8,500 at the dealers, but I suspect they have at least £750 of negotiation in that, so say £7,750

If you knock off £1000 as its a private sale, and another £1000 because of the higher miles, I'd say you are at around £5750 if you are lucky, but not much more than the trade in values.

Bear in mind the market is pretty quiet at the moment.

What Car has similar values, with....

Dealer £6,565

Private £5,430

Part exchange £5,190

Trade £4,840
