tesco "green" products

Featured Replies

just noticed in tesco the other day they seem to have a new range of "green" car cleaning products, including non-acidic wheel cleaner etc.

Has anyone tried them out yet?

IIRC their eco/green car shampoo does ok from what I have seen over on DW.

As for the wheel cleaner, no idea, but I'd give it a go if it's cheap enough.

Have also seen this stuff... think there's a brand name of shampoo etc too... "Ecover" or something... they make all sorts like washing up liquid and shampoo etc.

No this is tesco own rather than ecover.

if I hadn't just bought a bottle of non-acidic eco-friendly turtlewax wheel cleaner from halfrauds I would have grabed the tesco stuff....therefore might be a while before I get round to trying it

yeah and cheezemonkhai is correct, its not Ecover its tesco own brand.....I assume you would get green tesco points for it too if you are a tesco clubcard member....

Ecover hmmmm.

Has half the chemicals of normal fairy etc but is so useless you need 3 times as much to do anything. :(

Anyway ... OT sorry.

You're right! Was just in there and had a proper look and its Tesco own brand stuff... i just got a glance of it last time and assumed it was Ecover.

Would make sense to get green clubcard point with it too!

The Ecover washing up liquid isn't actually that bad... my friend who lives on a canal boat uses it (seen as the sink just empties straight into the canal) and its ok... granted its not as good as fairy!

Might have to try some of these product and see what they're like!
