hello all an a bit new to all this, but its raining outside so i thought i would attempt to solve my problem in the dry. I have an m reg favorit that died yesterday, there is no spark at the plugs/coil or appears to be no power to the coil, has anybody have any ideas to cure this problem.

Welcome. I think it will either be the ignition coil needs replacing, there is a problem with the low tension wiring between the ECU and the coil, or the ECU has died.

Are there any other symptoms? Do all the lights come on on the dash as usual?

But best to post in the Felicia/favorit section as my knowledge is limited
