5w/30 long life oil

Featured Replies

just wondering, what is the maximum mileage this expensive long life fully synthetic oil be used between servicing? i know the car is due for an oil change, but any views or comments would be much appreciated. out of curiosity, although iveco trucks arent mentioned in this forum :D oil changes in my truck is 25k......so could a skoda superb 140 go up to 25k between oil changes?

Use VAGCOM to set the car to variable servicing and fill the sump with 507.00 oil. The car will then tell you how long it wants to go for.

I use 507.00 oil and change it annually - I believe this will give a longer engine life. Oil is cheaper than bearings.

rotodiesel.

Maximum permitted mileage depending on engine will be 18,500 miles or some diesels can run to 28,500 (this is usually older non PD units).

I know this seems an obvious question (as the answer may be in the topic) but 507.00 oil is 5w/30 fully synthetic, right?

If I remember correctly the 5w/40 is 506.00...?

I can't remember and my oil's in she shed

...er, the shed

thanks for your replies........as i said im on the variable service, hence the expensive fully synthetic oil......i found out tonight that my wife reset the service light........apparently it was annoying her !! its going in for new blood very shortly....and i'll do the rest myself

I use VX 5/30 and it's been in 12k now and will be out by 15k

I would not run any oil in any diesel car for more than 10k miles. I imagine your Iveco truck will carry a lot more engine oil to keep the fuel dilution and contamination issues in check for longer miles. I use 506.01 in both my Superb 2.5 TDi and my VRs Furby.
