Pop goes the relay...

ooops..

Okay now I might be paranoid but I suspect not, me knows meselfs better thans that, does I.

Okay wired HU to a perma 12V line.

Took 12V from ISO into small SPST switch to trigger a thingy in the boot not yet there.

Okay so to do this I ran wire to battery and installed under the right hand most clamp, unfortunalty (I think this is where my relay reset, or whatever) it came off the rest live.

Okay put it all together and everything works, Like a dream...

Lock car, hear pop.

Odd not heard that before...after about 20 more open close cycles decide I have not heard it before. So undo everything and pop...bugger.

So my question is as I sleep on the errors of my ways, what the hell have I done?

Everything appears to function normally, locks lock, lights brakes, engine starts (so not all is bad). Pop is present if I remove all my extra wires totally.

It's quite distinct.

Is it possible it dropped/inverted when I let the contact (that sole contact) come loose?

erm basically HELP, I'm way to much of a scardy cat, but HELP.

Right off for a whiskey now...:o

Just for clarity......does it go:

CLUNK...CLUNK...POP, or what????

I will listen to mine in a few minutes as I go to work!!!

Hi,

It goes pop clunk yes...only on the first lock, eg pressing a second time to release deadlocks it does not pop. Nor does it on opening.

I got to work okay in the wet so brakes and steering still work...
