Small dent in plastic removal (hopefully)

Featured Replies

I was involved in a very minor accident this morning when I was stood at a roundabout and hit from behind by a woman in a Pug 307. She thought I had moved off but I hadnt. Cant have hit me at more than 3/4 mph as she was close anyway.

Everything was complied with exchanging details wise and while there was no damage to her front bumper my Furby was scuffed and suffered a dent in the plastic the size of a thumbnail.

On my return home out came my trusty Porter Cable and some Menzerna I.P and hey pretto the scuffs have gone but a couple of chips to the paint and the small dent remain.

Should I just live with it or does anyone know of anyway to get the small dent out.

All suggestions greatfully received. Thanks.

Claim off her insurance or come to an agreement outwith the insurance for a bumper respray

Dent should pop out, and a respray is really the best way to solve the chips - too big to just patch. I should think £100-£120 would cover a single bumper respray, including popping that dent out (at a non dealer bodyshop)

Based on my own experience, I'd recommend getting quotes from a couple of bodyshops before making an offer to the other driver.

The "amateur" estimate on the missus' Fabia was about £60 and a bottle of t-cut. In the end, the repair, done properly, was about a grand (local specialist, not main dealer)
