Ex Police 1.8T 4x4

Featured Replies

Found this site on Google and thought I`d post a hello.

Recently bought an ex Police 1.8T 4x4 estate registered in Nov 04 for a bargin.

Had to do a little cosmetic tidy up but nothing serious.

Its a bit of a shock to drive this after a 1.5DCI Clio!!

Trying to find out what modifications (if any) have been done.

It did seem slow until I found the carpet was on top of the accelerator stop - Carpet marked, not a mark on the stop. The carpet has now been repositioned correctly!

welcome to briskoda

Welcome!

Save your money to pay for bits that need replacing/fixing... it is ex-po-po ;)

Hello,

out of interest, where did you get the car from?

I bought it at an auction of police vehicles in London.

From what I have looked at already the mechanical condition of the car is very good.

I have just written to the service dept that maintained it for any serive documentation.

ahh, I was wondering where they sold them all off.

What sort of mileage has it done?

Welcome :)

Its done 70K; but as I said, taking some of the covers off the engine and looking at the brakes - all in near as new condition.

I`m going to get the car checked for a re-map as it seems very nimble!

I have read on other threads that the current MPG indicator gives some indication?

Not sure if this is very reliable - but under full throttle at high revs it goes down to around 5.2 MPG.

Anyway - only sure way to get the ecu looked at I suppose.

or get it RR'd... :)

Welcome from a fellow 4X4 owner. They're fun. :D
