Clunking noise from full turning lock.

Featured Replies

When i turn the car on full lock, (only from a reverse or standing position, NOT when im driving along) i get a loud clunk "Doing" sort of noise formt he front driver side, its loud, but then its over.

I get it all the time, so i took the wheel off, thinking the arm or stabliser or something was broken, but i cant see anything wrong, but to be honest, not sure what to look for.

does anyone have any ideas please?

Thanks

Top Mounts maybe

Sounds like the exact noise & symptoms I had when 1 of the front springs had snapped of at the bottom.

The "Boing" turned out to be the broken end of the coil slipping and catching on the spring seat stop.
