quick question everyone

will my 10disc kenny changer go straight inthe changer holder in the boot in my octy elegance

or will if have to do some modding

any help on removal of old changer and new one appreciated

Don't know if it'll fit...easiest way would be to measure them...

With regard to removal, there's screws on either side of the "carpet bracket". If you remove these, the carpet bracket will then just pull off. Then you can remove the standard changes easily enough...though I can't remember if it's screwed in or not...

The standard changer screws to the inner wing in two places.

Its fairly simple to make up a couple of brackets to re-use the existing bolt holes.

I did this for my sony 10 disk changer and it looks every bit as neat as the OEM changer

Bu whatever you do.... don't forget to remove any CD's from the changer before you remove it

my kenny one is about 10mm too wide tho to fit on the existing brackets :thumbdwn: :(

looks like i'm gonna have to get innovative and rig some way of getting it fitted in same area of boot - without removing the original brackets

and YES i did get the cd's out before i disconnected old changer

If you work out the distance between the bolt holes on the changer and the holes in your car it should be very straight forward to find a suitable bit of metal and drill a couple of holes in it.

I used a T shaped flat metal bracket thats used to reinforce woodwork joints that I bought from wilkinson for under a quid. It holds it very securely and as its behind the carpet nobody can see it.

have just fitted my changer vertically in the same space as original changer

have used some packing foam to help the carpet holder grip the changer

(trust me it aint going anywhere)

its mounted high enough as well so i can get the magazine out comfortably
