Bought the car two months ago and when you start it from cold it sounds like the manifold is blowing but after 20-30 seconds the noise vanishes off with a whistle. Is this normal for this car? Any suggestions would be gratefully appreciated!! Cheers!

It's the secondary air pump, they are often noisy, though it wouldn't do any harm to check the pipework.

hi mate, dont worry about it. its the seccondry air pump kicking in, its completly normal. it happens on mine every cold start and now and again when running warm.

The secondary air pump is probably split, search the forums for the guide on how to repair it.
