Not long bought my first fabia vrs / first skoda

Love my dubs mk2 golfs ect always bought and hunted rare parts for them to make them stand out.

So I'm wondering if there are any rare bits and bobs for the fabia ? Gauges, body panels ect

Reliability. I've been relentlessly searching for some since I bought mine, but alas I just can't seem to get any anywhere. :(

heated seats, only in Elegance spec or an expensive extra I think. I don't think there is that much 'rare' stuff TBH as most parts/ options/ accessories are still available from main dealers.

Rear electric windows were only available on early models, and reliability, only one person I know has a duff Fabia,*looks up*

I don't think you'll find many rare bits, unless you do something you know no-one else will copy.

There was someone with light blue alloys on a silver vRS and someone else did a lot of parts in yellow on a Fabia vRS SE, both of which looked great. Korban has got a lot of original ideas, such as coming home lights, which many people have done themselves now, myself (Korban did everything) included.

I think i'm the only one with a black plastidip and silver metalizer grill surround and Animal stickers though.

There are probably plenty of other rare parts/ideas but i just can't think of them at the moment.

Factory Fitted leather seats on non, VRS SE's are very rare. People on here have recovered their existing seats in leather, but it is quite expensive. A lot of people recommend a place up in York, a price of £800-£1000 springs to mind. I have no idea if you can get it cheaper elsewhere.

 

I you want a rare Fabia's then either a Fabia Saloon or try to find one with a 2.0l petrol engine. This 'mystical' 2.0l Fabia is reportedly to be very quick!

They didnt do the auto in the 2.0 iirc

IIRC most saloons had the 2l petrol 'Mustang/ Camero slaying' engine.

If you really want to be different... 17" octy spiders will set you apart from the other vrs's on here

.. but on a serious note Sport seats (same shape as VRS seats but black fabric with silver/ white stitching) are RARE + seem to get people giddy on here..

yeah, those Sport seats are like rocking horse **** unfortunately :(

The fabia with the most 'optional extras' ive seen on here is Tim_Foks. 

 

If you want to stand out you can slam your car to the floor and put saucepans for wheels on if your into that scene

I have a carbon bonnet I bought from someone in Europe who races / raced (was some time ago) a Rallycross 4x4 Fabia.  Not convinced if ever I broke it, I could get a replacement without serious research.  Would end up going back to a steel one I think.

 

On that basis, I'd say its rare!

Bonus, the saloon is so much nicer looking than the hatch as well!

Heated windscreen

My GFs car has Black Leather Seats with red stitching, OEM Xenons, Sat Nav, Cruise Control........ but no Maxidot clocks.

 

I'd like maxidot but I'm interested in trying to retrofit a set of FIS MK4 golf clocks and display into one somehow.

I realised mine has allot of extras fitted as standard lol

heated seats with 5 heat settings (why you would need to be so precise about how hot your arse is . Is beond me lol)

Factory projector head lights.

Cruise control (but very strange to get used to)

Chilled glovr box and mini box thing by steering wheel (keeps your pennies cool in the summer )

Thats it haha

Oh and I but a skoda badge projector in the door cards so people know what it is when you open doors at night.

leon splitters are a unique thing to do

 

I do have a bonnet lifter fitted. :P  But it uses a little tiny aftermarket damper as normal ones are too tough.

After owning five Fabias now, the extras I like for that "extra touch"

- Storage net built under the parcle shelf

- Sports seats

- red seat belts

- switch/light on dash for airbags

- Factory satnav

- factory 6cd multichanger

Never seen on with factory sat nav, what does that look like in the dash?

 

Seen a lad on here put a golf mk4 armrest in his, retrimmed using an old VRS seat. 

A couple people have put cruise control in theirs too as its not to difficult.

 

Not rare, but Cupra splitters i think make a nice upgrade.
