bury handsfree kit

Featured Replies

Been looking around for a handsfree kit for my Octy recently. Been looking at the various parott options but have come across a system made by Bury. It is a cc9060 unit which has a 2.5" detachable colour touchscreen. Has anyone used one of these before and are they any good?

I've just browsed the manual, and it looks good. The only thing that would worry me is that it looks like a sat-nav; it might be a theft target.

The screen is detachable so can take it off when I leave the car. That is one of the features that has attracted me to this unit. So all that will be on display is a small bracket in the corner of the dash.

A bracket that looks like a sat-nav bracket, and people dump sat-navs in the glove-box like they dump detachable HUs there. The thieves know this, break the window and check the glove-box.

Don't get me wrong, I'm in the market myself and that does look really nice. Just worries me a bit.

I take your point on the bracket. Just booked it in to get installed in a weeks time. I am going to put it to the right of the steering wheel in the corner by the pillar which should make it a little more difficult to see (will be in the same location as Skomas has put his parrot-see thread on parrot location). Once installed I will take some pics and write a review on how it works. I have been told by the guy in the shop that it will automatically download my contact list and then all I have to do is say the name of a contact and it will dial it (no need to teach it names etc.). Sounds great if it works!!!!
