I've got an elegance tdi which has done 44,000 and thinking of getting the cam belt changed at 50,000. Is it a good idea to change the water pump at the same time. Can anyone advise?

Martin, can you please post in the correct section? This is the 5th post that I have to move to the Maintenance section.

If it's a PD engine, you only need to change the cambelt and roller, according to my local VAG specialist. Not sure about the non-PD engines....
