Deactivate parking sensors?

Featured Replies

Hello,

I have a problem with one of my rear parking sensors due to waterleak. When I put my car in reverse, I only hear a long beep, and nothing more.

I want to deactivate the sound on the original system, and install a aftermarket system (Cobra etc.)

When I called the dealer, they told my that the only way to do this, is to remove the sounder. But I can't find the sounder.

Here is a picture. The sound comes from here somewhere:

Can anyone tell my wher to look? Can I just unclip the cables to the sounder?

They use the tweeters in the rear doors.
