Fitting Alpine Head Unit?

Featured Replies

Hey guys, i went out today and purchased a fascia adaptor, Audio adaptor for the power cable and an Aerial booster thing ready to attempt installation of my Alpine Head Unit tomorrow. What i would like to know is what else do i need to know before i attempt installation? I read somewhere about red and yellow cables needing to be switched? but my Head unit has bullet connectors i believe their called allowing the cables to be swapped with eachother, is this all i need to do? Cheers in advance for all help.

You shouldn't need to worry about swapping wires as you've got the loom adaptor.

Only thing missing from your list is something to take the existing head unit out... :)

Well my old man has shown me that i can do without the Adaptor so i can take it back to refund my £14 as we can swap the red/yellow leads using the bullet connectors and can cut and place a bullet connector on the blue cable to attach to the blue cable coming from the ariel booster thing.

sounds like your ready to go. Its pretty easy, pop it out, plug it in, pop it in. Bish bash bosh.
