USB-C sockets on Kamiq

Featured Replies

Eager to fit my Head Up Display, which I am transferring from my previous car, I was disappointed to discover there was no standard USB-A socket on the car, so rummaged around and found a C to C lead but this would not operate the HUD with or without the engine running, a bit more rummaging found a 3 way extension with 2 USB-A outlets that used the cigarette lighter socket, using my original HUD power lead the unit worked straight away, what it it with these C charging ports on the car ?

USB C is now the standard for smart phones, so USB C ports are the way to go. Be aware that the quality of the leads vary. Some leads are OK for charging, but no good for data transfer.
