Fitted a set of Eibachs yesterday, along with Cupra bushes, Air-con re gas and a wheel alignment :)

I wasn't to sure about lowering my vRS, as the ride isnt the greatest as standard. I didnt want to make it even worse, but no-one has ever said anything bad about Eibach springs, so I took the plunge.

First impressions? Amazing!

The ride is just as good, if not better than OE. Normal driving is exactly the same. TBH, I couldnt even tell the difference. But through the twisties, it grips like nothing else. Much better body control, less body roll and less dive when on the brakes. Well impressed :D

Cupra bushes add a little bit of extra road noise, but barely noticeable. Were an absolute nightmare to fit though. I seen the thread about using washers and bolts to fit the new bushes, i had a press and a big vice and even still, that was a nightmare... But its done now, hopefully never have to do it again

Took the missus out last night for a run. Even she couldnt tell the difference between the extra noise and springs. I dont know if it was the wheel alignment, but the car doesnt seem to pull as much to the left now. I really had to fight it to keep it from going left at times, but now, its only a gentle pull

Looks good, i take you just replaced the springs only. The car sits alot better now

Yea, was just springs. Fancied some Koni FSD's at the same time, but they were horrendously expensive TBH...

Should have came from the factory like this IMO :D

I get nervous when people mention presses and the aluminium consoles, before we got the propper tools for doing them I saw many bent.

The trick is getting the console clean. Try to push the new bush in with any corrosion inside and you will struggle.

With a set of consoles removed I can take out the std bushes (with an air gun) and fit Cupra bushes inside 15 mins for both, ready to fit.
