Air con problem

Featured Replies

My octavia aircon not cooling enough. I have checked with local ac mechanic and informed me that system is fully charged and no leaks found. But the high pressure tube near expansion valve is cooling and low pressure tube is not cooling. Actually high pressure tube should be hot and low pressure tube should be cold. He told me expansion valve might be blocked and not working correctly. I haven't changed any part.

Any suggestion please.

The ac guy might be correct, but I'd advise getting the ac fault codes read before doing anything else.

I have booked for service with my dealer.

Thank you.

My Aircon was not cooling also , I took car to quick fit (charge 45 quid) to get it sorted. They tested for leaks and was all ok. The issue was system needed regassing. Only half full. If aircon is not used regulary the gas will still get used up. They measured temp before regas and it was at 18 degrees. After the regas it was down to 8 degrees and felt so much better. Also quick fit will not charge you if they can not improve the aircon cooling. Maybe worth a go.

My aircon problem is fixed. Dryer caused a block in the cooling system. After changing this part, it is working effectively.
