Infinity Ref 6010cs?

Featured Replies

Hi, I'm thinking of buying these as says in the title.

I'm gonna run them of the HU, Pioneer DEH-P7000UB, for some time but the plan is to buy a amp for them

So my question is: Is this a good guality speakers or can I get a better sounding speakers in the front doors of Octy 1?

As with anything mate it depends on your budget. There was a very good review of 6.5" components on Talkaudio a while ago with quite a wide range of prices. Infinity are ok for a budget speaker.

Yeah I now, maybe I'll wait a few months to get up some better budget to buy better speakers.

I just thought it were good quality speakers because many of the members here use them and are recommending them for the front doors, so I thought I'll ask to get some honest answer and maybe someone would recommend any other brands and some speakers that would fit in the front doors with out any struggle.

I'm not saying they aren't any good mate, the Infinity's with your Pioneer HU will give you a very good improvement in sound quality which will be even better when you amp them.

I bougtht cheap components from Pioneer G-series , only 35rms watts, in the front doors 6 months ago. Just wanted a litle more power with the Infinity.

Wen't over to Talk Audio for some advise and the said that I shouldn't rush into things and focus on sound deadning my doors and then I might like the sound from the Pioneer. So I decided to wait for some time with the speakers and focus on sound deadning.

But thanx for your reply.

I have these in my octavia (well took them out today ready for the next car) and started running them off my pioneer DEH77mp3 which were ok, running them off my JBL 75.4 amp made an awesome improvement over standard, they're not gonna be the loudest but for sound quality they are very good! They fit perfect in the octavia I using the metal adapters and the tweeters fit snuggly in the octavia mountings. I put my std speakers back in today and can't believe how much difference these made.

They are good speakers and unlike the Kappa series from Infinity they don't need amplification.

But... why bother with good quality speakers if you're not going to amp them?
