Does the vRS have a service indicator?

Featured Replies

Right bought the car with 37k on it a year ago, 2 services later (one tonight by me) and no service indicator. Now thats 20k miles and nothing, i tried resetting it via the manual but nothing??

Whats the story folks?

I've never seen one either, despite going (just) over the 10k mile interval.

You can program in for the inspection message, plus spanner, to display when a service is due. Appears when you switch on, for around a minute. Sounds like the garage hasn't chosen to though. Where did you get it serviced?

Can be programmed on either a mileage or time basis, or possibly both. It's available through VAG-COM too.

My Fabia had it, got it serviced and sold it the next day

I see the reset procedure, but is it (as you seem to be suggesting) possible to disable the warning altogether.

Yes, you can clear it in that section of VAG-COM. Likewise, you could just not set it all in the first place :)

It's not an auto car setting, the Fab's not that clever :D So a garage would have program it in at service, for the inspection message to come up 1yr later or after X miles.
