IMHO 17" is a decent compromise - you can get cheaper tyres for that size then the 16" vRS stock wheels, at least in my experience - 18" you really are looking at very low profile tyres. You'd also have to lower it a lot, again IMHO, to make it look good.

There are a few people that run 18" on their cars, and to be fair, most of them look very nice but are lowered

17" wheels require lowering to get the look right too

@Irf - yeah you're right, lowering needed to make it look decent hehe - Mine is on 17s with Eibach springs and Koni FSDampers, it is a Fab Estate though so it's a little different but yeah, you're of course right
