312mm Brake Kit - Where from?

Featured Replies

Hi everyone,

Maximum annoyer, minimum poster here

Can anyone tell me where I can get the 312mm brakes from, as my brakes need replacing all around. I've seen Vag-Bits with a set on eBay but was wandering if I can get them any cheaper elsewhere

On a side note, are there any decent rear disks and pads that are available too? The OE ones seem to squeak after a while and no amount of copper grease stops it in the long term :thumbdwn:

Most of those are used though, I'm after new ones :)

you could get them direct from VW/Skoda but would probably cost a 'little' more.

Might ask the dealer how much they are actually. Presumably the Octavia vRS ones come painted green already, so if the cost isn't that much more then it might be worth it.

Thanks, didn't think of asking the dealer

They may not be any longer, the later ones are red IIRC :(

yeah they are basically standard Octy I vRS brakes.

You'd need, discs, calipers, carriers and pads. (i think thats all anyway)

very expensive from the dealers

golfturbo is who I got mine from, many many moons ago. They were unpainted

i got mine from that ebay dealer

no complaints from me he also included the longer hoses but i was not impressed with the condition of them so i retained the originals

damage marks on the pipes but left positive feed back as the pipes were not included in the deal also the pipes felt excessively flexible near the caliper end
