have just seen this advertised on tv for checking you car for £3 saying if its stolen, has hp on it etc. text your reg to 83600 and it costs as ive said above 3 quid.

also try the rac website only cost a fiver for a full check and can be printed out for you recored

ive just tried mine on the text one, shows vin, no of owners, any colour changes, if its scrapped or not, total loss claim, if its stolen and a helpline number if you have any problems.

I've used the text thing for a few years. Always seems to be spot on.

Yep worked for me too.

I used this too. I was getting a HPI check done by the garage anyway but all the details came through within seconds and they were all spot on.

Would recommend:thumbup: Good for me as the car was 650 miles away.
