Going to change the oil in my furby, does anybody know what grade i need and which is the best one to buy. Engine is 1.9 tdi (sadly not the VRs)

You can either get specific 505.01 5W40 PD oil, or go for the newer 5W30 with backward 505.01 compatability, which the dealers are using these days.

This area is a minefield, and has caused me a headache or two recently.
