Octavia II wishbone/cassette bushes.

Featured Replies

I may be a bit slow on the uptake here and this may already be a well known mod but having worked on an Audi TT the other day and noticed this.

Golf 5, Octavia II.

So a solid, non voided bush that looks like it should bolt straight on...

Hmmmm

Yeah sure looks like a direct replacement bolt on.Thanks for photos Lummox:thumbup:

will the ally susp bits just bolt on as well?

If someone is willing to pay for the parts (which I can get cheap) i'll be happy to try it (no labour charge). I can return the parts I would think if they dont fit.

It does work I think it was the SEAT boys that have been doing it, I remember reading it somewhere.

I suspect you'll be doing mine at some stage Mr C. ;)

As a side note IIRC they are once only bolts aren't they (officially of course)

Yup they are. Would need new bolts.

whats the benefit?

Much the same as fitting the Cupra bushes on the Fabia i would have thought. Tighter steering, better handling and they wont give up.

If you PM me a price for parts I'm willing next time I'm around your way Ross :)

What sort of price are we talking about?

I could be your guinea pig if it's not too much.;)

i saw a mk5 golf last time i was up the breakers yard, i'll whip the cassette's off next time i go :D

I change the cassettes quite often, more so with the wishbones as the front bushes leak and you get a knocking. Need the ones of a TT really to try but i'll see what the costings are because looking on ETKA you can get the Octavia cassette on its own but not the TT one it comes with the wishbone.
