Featured Replies

hi

just contimplating upgrading furby vrs sound system, i have an alpine cde?? 9880 h/u and looking to use a component set up, just looking to see if any one has used hertz speakers and wha u think of them, im looking at some hertz energy 6 1/2" door speakers and a 10" sub

any info appreciated

cheers in advance

To be fair, I find the front door speakers are good for mid-high frequencies. I have a sub, and my HU splits the sound well so my fronts don't go near bass and it works well. I would replace the rears though.

The only speakers i have changes are the ones in the boot area. I have put Alpine speakers as i have an Alpine head unit and they do sound great once i worked out the wiring.

Hi, I haven't heard Hertz speakers myself but they seem to get a good press and favourable reviews.

If you are going to upgrade to 6.5" then you might want to try CDT speakers, as not only do they sound good but are quite shallow and easier to fit. There isn't much room to spare in Fabia front doors!

I'm running Rockford Fosgate Audiophiles in the front doors with the tweeters in the original locations and am more than happy with them.

A 10" sub should give tight (but not deep) bass, and as you are obviously into sound quality I assume you will be ditching the rear speakers in favour of a decent soundstage up front.

Good luck with the install!:finger:
