What size are the rear discs?

Featured Replies

It seems they could be 232mm or 239mm. Apart from waving a ruler at them, how do I know?

1.4mpi on an X plate.

Didn't the 1.4 have drums on the rear?

The 1.4 mpi should be drums, the 1.4 16v is discs.

This is a 1.4 mpi comfort with 16 valves, according to the badges (as far as I recall)?!

MPI Is 100% drum brakes. If you have disks you don't have an MPI you have the 16V which is different.

Quite right - my mistake, it's a 1.4 16v. I asked the local (cr&p) dealer if they could tell me what size disks it should have from the reg number and it doesn't appear on the Skoda database - possibly it was an import.

So, any ideas, 232mm or 239mm?
