Remote boot release

Featured Replies

Hi,

Anyone tried adding a remote control boot release on their fabia estate? I've a fabia classic estate- just got the rightclick kit, and nearly finished adding it to all the doors (thanks to the excellent guides on briskoda - thanks guys:thumbup:) but I'm stumped as to how and where to fit the boot release motor

Anyone done this and got any tips?

IMHO I'm not convinced that the actuator supplied by is strong enough to open the boot release by pulling on the cable point so I'm thinking I might have to extend the leverage a bit more to make it easier on the motor. and fit it next to two wee flaps down by the tyre well.

The opportunity of having a remote boot release was one of the reasons I installed a remote kit, because I find having the only release mechanism for the boot by the drivers door pretty inconvenient.

Thanks for any advice guys,

Cheers,

Paul
