vRS Blueflame cat-back

Featured Replies

Ive just bought the system for my '04 vRS and come to fit it and found on where the centre pipe connects to the cat its it flanged but the standard centre pipe is a sleeve type fitment to the cat???

The technician @ Blueflame says he's never come across the sleeve type fitment on any Fabia vRS, only the flanged type...

Blueflame also say the only way round it is to buy their de-cat pipe or for them to make me an adapter pipe?!

Has anyone with this system ever encountered this problem?

Has the OE exhaust system changed throughout the years?

ps. Is the bore on the Blueflame system meant to be that much larger than standard?

cheers,

Mark

I have built 6-7 systems on Fabia Vrs' and never seen a flanged one. My exhaust parts system I have on my pc confirms that all Bosal and Timax aftermarket systems have never listed flanges either.

thats what i thought but the guy @ Blueflame was putting doubts into my mind when he said he's never seen the sleeved type before.

So therefore I think they've supplied me with the centre pipe to fit their own sport cat not the OE cat?

Sorry but that doesnt really help.

Still in the same position, with Blueflame adamant that they have supplied me with the correct centre section (with the flange) and also that they have never seen a sleeve type cat on any Fabia!

Ive been in contact with Simpson's Skoda in Preston who have backed me up by saying that all fabia's came with the sleeve type cat fitment.
