Engine Vibration - VRS

Featured Replies

Odd one this... Just had car back (about week) from cambelt change and service and I have noticed when giving it some beans I get some vibration from the engine above 5k rpm.

Otherwise seems really smooth, pulls well etc, only thing I can think of is that I had to have the tensioner belt replaced as the old one had too much give.

Would that cause this and just a case of it needing to be run in or does it sound like something else?

It should be the same as before the service ie no vibration take it back to be checked .could be a problem with the engine mount clearances or bolts these have been known to snap/fall out from new just get it checked to be sure and put your mind to rest.

All sorted, you were bang on the money Bazza.

Engine mount just needed adjusting, no more vibrations which the g/f is not too happy about
