power loss octy vrs 01

Featured Replies

hello.

my car is a bit funny nowadays. I get a power loss and stumbling when i drive.

It can drive perfectly up the revs and suddenly it stalls and it shoots in the turbo or exhaust, can`t hear where it`s frome.

it appears at 1,3 bar and 0,5 bar. usually at max throttle.

i ahve a power chip open filter and bigger exhaust without cat.

i`ve changed the maf and both o2 sensors.

n249 is also changed.

at vag com i get:

Address 01: Engine Labels: 06A-906-032-AJQ.lbl

thank you m8

Have you cleared the faults since fitting the o2 sensors? Did they come back?

Do you have a non-oe recirc' valve (IE: Forge 007p?)

16804 - Catalyst System; Bank 1: Efficiency Below Threshold

You can probably ignore this one. Its only complaining about you removing the CAT, I don't think it affects the running of the car in any way (though it may cause issues on emissions at MOT time). You'll just have to clear the fault from time to time.

yes i cleared the faults after.

it`been over a year since i`d changed them.

today i put it to limp mode, and then it was ok, it didnt go that good but it didnt dstumble and back fire.

i`d try to change the N75 valve but no sucess

i really appreciate you folks trying to help:)

It might be worth checking its all connected properly and if possible checking its working correctly (it looks like it comes apart). Do you still have the standard part? If so, refit that and see if it makes any difference.

If the unit you have at the moment isn't working properly, it'll drop boost, drop power and could cause the symptoms you mention (especially as you have replaced the other possible culprits).

Worth a try.

ok.

but the car has behaved like this for over 1,5 years.

this problem has been worse than before.

when i bought it it had a open valve on it and worked fine.

as i crushed a gearbox, this problem was noticeable. not sure if it`s related.

when i bought it it was playful, that means when i was at about 3000 rpm and 0,5 bar boost it was like the engine wanted to go faster and slower, and if i put the trottle all the way down it really worked.

is this at any help

it don`t drop boost.

it may be a problem that don`t show on vag com.

maybe it`s the tank pump?

me and a mechanic checked these things some time ago:

vag com test (click test): N249, N75, injectors, N112.

all clicking ok.

Compression test on all cyl: between 8-10 bar.

Fuel pressure on idle with vacuum: 2,5 bar

Fuel pressure on idle without vac. : 3,0 bar

Fuel pressure under load(driving) :2,5-3 bar depending on throttle and revs.

pressure testing the whole system from tip.: found a leak in a gasket on the pipe from turbo to intercooler. no help.

tried to check the wastegate by pump air to vac clock and it would not keep more than 0,2 bar and then it blows out.

membrane must be f u c k e d...

it can`t work properly with this?

what do you guys think?
