Do the callipers have stainless shims that the pads sit against? I was sure they do but I have a set of Vrs callipers here and there are no shims for the pads to sit on.

if they do need shims, anyone know the part number, or at least any other modal Vag's that I can get some from at the scrappy's?

If you are talking about the front calipers then I am sure they don't, only the rear calipers have the metal brake pad shims.

I am sure they had shims in when I removed them.

Do you mean on the carrier or attatched to the piston?
