My '04 Fabia vRS was bought back in February this year and since I have been renewing/replacing parts as it was previously declared a Cat C. I've restored it quite a bit leaving just a bit of bodywork to fettle. I've also found out there is no air conditioning system on the car (I went to get it charged ) so I've priced up some of the items from Skoda and kept an eye out on Fleebay to source the bits and re-install that too as I'm assuming it was damaged in the crash...

Whilst I was fitting a new intercooler duct behind the front bumper at the weekend I had a good nosy round and noticed a few things that may be missing or that are damaged but I'm not quite sure what they are - I haven't bought a Haynes yet!

1. Are there supposed to be two cooling fans on the vRS or if not is anything missing from here?

2. I'm assuming this is the A/C pump with what looks like a fairly damaged connection? Wires hanging down also to connected to A/C?

3. This looks like it was the support for the intercooler but is now snapped off?

And from underneath...

4. No under the N/S front I spotted these two blue wires which for some reason just don't look right since they are not wrapped and on their own.

that is indeed the air con compressor and well damaged too. Don't mess about, get a new/recon one, it should come with all that wiring.

My god! What the hell has been done to that aircon? I assume the AC isn't working then?

The extra wiring seems like a post-production repair, but cannot tell to what.

Haha nope, theres no A/C! Also no pipework, condenser etc either so quite a few bits to source all of which I presume were KO'd in the crash :( I wonder myself what the hell happened for the A/C pump to get damaged like that, at least I'm totting up all the things as to why it was declared a Cat C, the A/C system must cost a fortune alone.

I did make a mental note of where the loose wires ran to but it was about about a week ago and I've forgotten, need to pop my head under again and have a look... IIRC it ran to what looked like a bunch of relays near the N/S/F of the engine.

Any further pointers on items 1, 3 and 4?

the missing fan is for the aircon,missing wires could be for the aircon fan im only guessing this
