It is an 01Y Comfort model

The passenger electric window will go up and down from the drivers side switch no problem.

From the passenger side it will only go down . the up button will not work although you have to press it up to for the down button to work

Have put in a new passenger switch and checked the wire feed in and there is no problem , but it still remains the same as before

Any advice please

Try disconnecting and reconnecting the battery.

Had exactly same fault on mine today.

Remove drivers door trim and disconnect the 3 big multiplug to the drivers window motor.Then slide out the "cassette" type part in the top leaving the motor in place.Inside you will find the circuit board will have condensation on it in various places.Clean the fusty bits with contact solvent cleaner and a light rub with a flat blade screwdriver.Then WD40 the whole board and viola!!!!!
