Service Indicator

Featured Replies

Hi,

My service indicator countdown has come on and is currently at 600 miles. I have the car booked in on the 19th of this month and am concerned that it will be at 0 for a while prior to the service.

Is it okay to de driving it at 0 for a number of days. I thought I read on here that the ecu flags the fact that it hasn't been serviced in the correct time period and therefore if there are any warranty issues in the future they may not done because of this. Is this true?

Thanks, Shaun

If you're booked in already, I don't see any warranty issues at all. We're only talking a few days, and not an entire service interval skipped. :D

Has similar issue - my service manager said it can go to 2.5k over the indicated service time before they start thinking of voiding the warranty.

If you want to put your mind at rest, phone your service department and express your concerns - if they say it will be a problem, then tell them to find an earlier slot to book it in... :D

Thanks for the advice guys, will give them a ring just to make them aware of it so they'll have a record in the future (just in case).

Cheers, Shaun

My dealer will allow a service up to 1000 miles before & 1500 after. seems reasonable
